The Renaissance Woman

An Intro to our Project.

In the world of the social media craze, pandemic-stricken Tik Tok obsessions, influencers pushing weight loss supplements, and a decline in college enrollment, things can look bleak.

For me, being laid off from a job I had only dreamed of having one day hit hard. I took it personally. I felt belittled by the world, taken down a peg. After filling my days with endless scrolling, watching videos on how to land that interview, juxtaposed to seeing girls online making 30k on a post of their ass, I started to lose hope. Why would anyone want to be anything else besides Instafamous if it meant you could travel the world, party on yachts, and make exuberant amounts of money just from one post. #AD #AD #Sponsored #NoSponsored. My world expanded miles and miles past what it ever would have if the internet didn’t connect us with each other, yet somehow I felt shrunken down and worthless. IT’S TIME FOR A CHANGE, I thought.

I could move away? Go work on a vineyard out east. I could delete all my apps, cut my hair, and start anew.

In two schools of thought regarding the internet :

if you can’t beat them, join them,

or in modern terms

if you can’t escape it, make it work for you.

With that in mind, I decided instead of making a rash decision to move to Maine, I would try to make an impactful change. I would bring to the world, amazing “insta-worthy” non-influencer women who show there is more to life than flat tummy tea. Ergo RENAISSANCE WOMEN was born!

Forget everything you know about Instagram and the internet, start here if you are looking to renew yourself or better yet rediscover what it means to just be you…
